Devil May Cry 4: Multiple Platform Possibility

So you’ve probably heard by now that Sony has lost another exclusive. Devil May Cry 4. What this basically means is that the same people saying the game wasn’t a big deal are now popping champagne and parading through the streets, and the people who were all too happy to rub the game in Xbot faces are now claiming the game isn’t a big deal and crying into their pillows. Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

It’s hard to imagine that this would come as a surprise to anyone. Capcom, much like pretty much everyone in the world, likes to make money. With the PS3’s install base still quite low, Capcom’s bank account didn’t stand much of a chance keeping the title on the PS3.

What IS surprising is the fact that the game will launch simultaneously on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Announced and touted as a PS3 exclusive from the beginning, has development of the 360 version been rapidly baking in the oven, or were there some sneaky stuffs happening behind the scenes and the game was planned for the 360 from the very beginning?

Whatever the case, this is a punch in the gut for Sony fans, who are now forced to cling desperately to Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII as high profile third party exclusives.
